Toby Service - Head of Department

Toby Service is Head of Classic & Vintage Motoring, overseeing the specialist team responsible for the valuation, presentation and sale of classic and vintage cars, motorcycles and commercials through regular auctions.

Toby has been with Brightwells since 2000 and has extensive experience in vehicle appraisals, valuations and auctions, advising clients on vehicles offered for sale as well as providing professional valuations.

James Dennison - Classic Car Specialist

James is a Classic Car Specialist with over 20 years’ experience in the classic car market. He has extensive knowledge of classic, Vintage and Veteran cars, with particular expertise in vehicles from the 1960s to the 1990s.

James specialises in classic car valuations, vehicle history and provenance research, helping owners understand the history, significance and market value of their vehicles. A lifelong classic car enthusiast who has owned dozens of classics himself, James combines practical market knowledge with a degree in History and a background in journalism to uncover and document the stories behind historic vehicles.

James Booth - Classic Car Specialist

James Booth is a Modern Classic Car Specialist with over 36 years experience in the motor trade. While experienced across the classic car market, he specialises in Modern Classics, working with collectors, enthusiasts, private owners and motor traders.

James began his career as a qualified motor vehicle technician before moving into car sales. Prior to joining Brightwells, he spent seven years as a Senior Porsche Sales Executive, developing extensive knowledge of performance, prestige and collectible vehicles.

David Tassell - Classic Car Specialist

David is a highly experienced specialist in classic cars and motorcycles with extensive experience across classic and collector vehicles. His background encompasses vehicle engineering, restoration, preservation, storage, consultancy and auctioneering, providing him with a broad understanding of both the technical and commercial aspects of the classic car market.

David advises collectors, enthusiasts and vehicle owners on classic car valuations, condition, provenance, restoration and the sale and preservation of significant vehicles. His experience also includes involvement with complex restorations for the television series Car SOS, and he is known for his professional, straightforward approach, and meticulous attention to detail.

Jack Kenneally-Perrin – Classic Car Specialist

Jack Kenneally-Perrin is a Classic Car Specialist with particular knowledge of classic British cars, Jaguar, Land Rovers, modern performance cars and supercars, as well as vehicles from the 2000s. He works primarily with private owners and collectors, advising on the valuation and sale of classic and collectible vehicles.

Jack has owned, imported and restored classic cars since 2017, giving him hands-on experience alongside his knowledge of the market. A keen motoring enthusiast, he currently owns and is restoring a Jaguar Mk2 and MGA Coupe.

Paddy Shave - Head of Department

With over 35 years of experience in the drinks trade, Paddy has extensive knowledge of the wine industry and has led Brightwells’ wine auction business since joining in 2006. He advises private individuals, wine businesses and organisations on the discreet and efficient sale of wine collections and excess stocks. Paddy provides expert valuations, condition reports and cellar management advice to help vendors achieve the best possible return.

Jeremy Jehan - Head of Department

With over 35 years of experience in agricultural land agency, Jeremy specialises in agricultural property and stock valuations, finance, farm and land sales and lettings, and landlord and tenant matters. A qualified Chartered Surveyor and Fellow of the Livestock Auctioneers Association, he has particular expertise in the poultry sector and advises farmers, banks, finance companies and processors. Having joined Brightwells in 2010, his extensive professional experience is complemented by a strong practical farming background.

Richard Jessop - Transport and Logistics

With extensive experience in farming, haulage and international logistics, Richard specialises in coordinating transport for Brightwells’ Plant and Machinery and Commercial Vehicle auctions. He works closely with clients and hauliers to arrange efficient, cost-effective collections, drawing on many years of experience transporting everything from small items to specialist loads exceeding 50 tonnes worldwide. Richard also has expertise in international shipping, customs and export documentation, dangerous goods transportation, warehouse management and supply chain operations.

With over 30 years of experience in automotive retail, vehicle remarketing and account management, Dave has extensive knowledge of the vehicle industry, specialising in cars, motorhomes and caravans. He works closely with main dealers, finance and leasing companies, rental companies and leisure dealers to understand their requirements and provide a tailored service. Splitting his time between the office and visiting new and existing clients, Dave is focused on building strong relationships and delivering an efficient and professional remarketing service.

Will specialises in the sale of fine wines, with particular expertise in Red Bordeaux, Vintage Port and Vintage Champagne. With a BA (Hons) in Business and Management and a WSET Level 3 qualification with Merit, Will combines his knowledge of the wine trade with a professional and personal approach.
