Four wheel drive; showing
just 96,490 miles; extensive recommissioning carried out in 2024 including head
gasket; has an MOT until August 2027; used daily
Showing 10 former
keepers, this increasingly collectable Fiat Panda 4x4 has been in the current
ownership since August 2022 and was used regularly, including daily use, up
until being brought to site. First registered in August 1988, it is powered by
the 999cc engine with five-speed manual transmission and is finished in Metallic
Grey.
In 2024 the Panda underwent a
comprehensive recommissioning programme, including a complete overhaul of the
braking system with new wheel cylinders, master cylinder, metal and flexible
brake pipes, shoes, pads, discs and fluids. The fuel system was also attended to
with replacement fuel hoses and fuel tank.
Further work included a new
head gasket, water pump, hoses, timing belt and tensioner, together with a new
radiator. The exhaust and mounts were replaced, the wiper linkage renewed, the
starter motor refurbished and a replacement alternator and belt fitted. The
engine oil and filter were also changed.
The Metallic Grey paintwork
has inevitably suffered from age and use, with areas of lacquer peel and fading
evident across the car. The vendor advises that this does not affect the way the
Panda drives.
The Panda has an MOT until
August 2027 and is accompanied by two old MOT
certificates.
Starting, driving and stopping
as expected on site for photography and a short video, this is an appealing
example of Fiat's simple and capable little four-wheel-drive Panda, benefiting
from considerable mechanical recommissioning and continued regular
use.
